Tom Ailes began his real estate career in March 1985 in residential real estate for Century 21 Rhoads in Zionsville, Indiana. He continued at that office receiving numerous sales awards both the local office and district office.

In April 1989 the local ReMax office in Zionsville convinced him to move to their office. He stayed there until moving to Coldwell Banker Brown from August 1991 until October 1995, in which time he achieved several local, state, and national awards. At the end of this time period he began to sell some commercial properties and in October 1995, transferred to Coldwell Banker Anchor in Indianapolis where he sold both residential and commercial real estate initially. The office was moved to Carmel, Indiana in the summer of 1997 and by that time Tom was selling commercial real estate exclusively.

In April 2006, Tom transferred to Baldwin Brothers Real Estate in Fishers, IN to continue his commercial real estate career. In the spring of 2008, he got a call from a former real estate associate asking him if he would be interested in moving to Dilger Property Group to teach a couple of young guys the commercial real estate business. In July 2010, Dilger Property Group ceased operation and Tom returned to Baldwin Companies.

In his commercial real estate career Tom has sold a wide variety of property types, ranging from $135,000 to $20,000,000. His credo is to treat Sellers, Buyers, Landlords, and Tenants with honestly and integrity while always maintaining good communications.
